Taking on the Adriatic Coast, One City at a Time
Get ready for a total of 15 hour-long trip, starting off in Sarajevo.
After having spent 2 nights in Bosnia’s historic capital drive 4 hours to meet the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy the cristal clear water of Dubrovnik for 3 nights before heading the road again, this time to 2 hour away Podgorica, the perfect blend of history and modernity.
The following day drive an other 2 hours to Durrës, Golem and Tirana. All close to eachhother, during your 3 day stay, you’ll be able to tan, shop, and appreciate the beautiful history and culture of Albania.
Last stop : Corfu. Leave early for your 6 hour journey, passing by Albania’s countryside. Once arrived in Greece, take a ferry from Igoumenitsa to the Grec isle, and complete the voyage with a four-day stay there.
Sight-seeing
Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina)
Sarajevo Meeting Of Cultures — a simple but powerful spot where the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian parts of the city meet. It captures Sarajevo’s identity better than any postcard view.
Dubrovnik (Croatia)
After having tanned on the cristal clear beaches of Croatia’s capital, go to the Gibraltar of Dubrovnik : Fort Lovrijenac, a dramatic fortress, as high as 37m above the sea.
Podgorica (Montenegro)
During a short time in Podgorica you must visit Skadar Lake National Park. This breathtaking landscape will not make you regret your stop.
Durrës, Golem, Tirana (Albania)
Walk the seaside promenade, go tan at the beach and go check out the Venetian Tower of Durrës for views of the old city and coast.
In Tirana you can of course enjoy the city, but don’t forget that the hikes in nature are also just as beautiful. My recommendation would be to go to Dajti Moutain National Park.
Corfu (Greece)
Of course wherever you are on the island, you should plan at least a full day in the Old Town. However, when you aren’t relaxing at the beach, if you want the best view, far away from the crowds, go to Angelokastro- a Byzantine fortress build up a cliff.
Food spots
Eat in cosy Dveri : a traditional Bosnian restaurant, one of the most recognisable dining establishments in the city’s historic core, Baščaršija.
Unlike the idea of the name might give you, Taj Mahal restaurant is definitely the best traditional Bosnian cuisine you’ll find, located in Dubrovnik Old Town, the perfect place to settle after a visite of the town
After a day at the beach in Golem, seafood is the option. Acquapazza is one of my favorites for fresh seafood and Albanian dishes near the waterfront.
In Greece to find the warm, local atmosphere you have to go in a local Restaurant and eat authentic Meze’s. My personal suggestion would be to go to Tsipouradiko.
Activities
Take the cable car up Mount Trebević and walk to the abandoned Olympic bobsled track. It’s a fascinating mix of nature and history.

Plan a whole day to take the ferry that goes to Lokrum, a small island where you’ll find a peaceful atmosphere away from the tourist. Swim, walk or even go take a look at the peacocks.

Plan going to a beach in Durrës just before sunset. Fell the sea’s wind in your hair and try horseback riding.

When you get bored tanning all day, have fun in the water. Hire a kayak, a pedalo, go water-skiing, and do many more water activities in Paleokastritsa.
Museums
Visit this touching museum of Crimes Against Humanity and Genocide. Rich in history and emotion.
